Become Fearless

There is more than one way to get what you want and why not make it a happier form of attracting our dreams and desires ?

The ego is malleable where it tends to waver to the external. i.e. What we see, feel and hear is what the ego absorbs. Unfortunately, the external contains 90% negative happening in the world. It is our job to sift and retain only the positive. However, the ego focuses more on what we don’t want versus what we want.

Shifting to what one wants, can work with practice on a regular basis, this is where the mindset work starts. In addition, our subconscious is the habit-forming system formed from our formative years. Often the majority of us are operating from this belief system automatically. When operating with a faulty belief system, in general, may manifest around self- worth, confidence and or old negative programming, such as, doubt, not feeling enough. The symptom can present itself as a stuck mindset.

No one is perfect or immune, yet to clear the automation of what’s not working permanently, is by unblocking blocks that are deep within the unconscious. This is the WHY that has led to a faulty automation system around relationships, money, love, and success. Therefore, you must become clear on what you want. Get technicolor on your vision. Order up exactly what you want the Universe to deliver, otherwise known as manifesting.

Do you want a new job? Are you ready to meet your soulmate? Perhaps you want financial abundance? There is a powerful way you can practice to shift your subconscious into believing you have whatever it is you want and no, it is NOT about positive affirmations. Although affirmations can help you stay on track, especially when chaos or turmoil has taken place in your personal world and environment. The process is known as “Nevellizing”, coined from the famous mystical writer, Goddard Neville. He believed that you focus on the outcome and imagine what it would be like to have that result in your life, right now.

This is not about just focusing on a goal but actually involves feeling the emotion related to the goal by emerging your mind with the details and how it feels. Imagine what will change in your life. For example, imagine a new home and what it feels like to drive up to your new home. Or let’s say you want to attract $50,000 in the next 6 months. When you sit and imagine what your life will be like, focus on the details. What bills will you get to pay? Physically feel the idea of sitting at your desk writing checks and placing stamps on those bills. Are you smiling and feeling fulfilled? Allow those feelings to consume you.

Your subconscious mind cannot distinguish between what is real or imaginative. You can determine this based on how your body responds to a really scary movie, your adrenaline goes up and responds to a flight or fight response to a physical danger, even though your conscious mind knows it’s a movie. Just as your subconscious mind responds to fear it also responds to good events as well. The key is you must believe it into existence with absolution. When you feel it, feel it’s inevitable, that is when the magic occurs. People and events and details and opportunities will pop up, almost out of nowhere. Keep in mind it’s up to you when a source is attracted to you, it’s your choice to act upon it or not. You may be skeptical and that’s ok, however, this technique happens all the time. For example, imagine you decide you want a new white Subaru. Then all you seem to notice around town, on the freeways, in parking lots are white Subaru’s. This is no coincidence, your mind decided to sift and seek out and those things that became important moved to the top of the list in your mind.

Howard Shultz, founder of Starbucks, imagined a coffee shop where people sat around and sipped a $4 cup of coffee. At the time Starbucks nixed this idea and continued to sell coffee beans, coffee makers and filters but not cups of coffee. He moved on as their marketing director and started his own vision of this. Later he bought out the original Starbucks and today it’s a multi-billion dollar company. He focused on his vision and his dream and when obstacles appeared, new doors of opportunity opened.

Although turmoil and grey clouds may hover in your life, this too shall pass. In fact, it’s the best time to determine what you really want? Go deep, get detailed, cut out photos and feeling words as a vision map. The act of creating and imagining is no joke. It’s how electricity was invented and the cell phone, among others. Good things, stemmed from someone’s imagination and growth mindset. Why not make it yours and act upon those happy visions!

www.gethappyzone.comThe 21st century brings to date a time of expansion, albeit, it may feel like confusion and somewhat unsettling. Change can leave you or people you know, feeling alone and scattered. The good news is everything happens in an order of divine timing. The re-calibration taking place in the world represents a time of change for all of us. Change can be good but also scary, especially if it was brought upon you, hence stress occurs. A powerful way to break an old cycle or stress is by making a change as this can transform your life for the better. But, the most powerful and biggest secret to being proactive and transform your life is through the use of your imagination. (STEP 1)

Step 2 – Your attitude about change may need to be adjusted so try to be open to making change, this is an opportunity of personal growth and expansion of self to go beyond your limits, take courageous steps and dare to dream! Smart people like yourself have choices by being proactive versus reactive. What are you doing that is proactively occurring to get you in alignment and closer to your desires as opposed to your fears?

STEP 3 – Following a path with heart resembles freedom and authenticity. While following a path of head or ego depicts what you”should” be doing. Eventually leading to resentment or even a personal rut. As we enter Spring , the time of renewal, why not activate the use of your imagination? Imagining or daydreaming offers you the power to tap into your authentic power and successfully blossom while reinventing self on a path of heart. When you utilize proactive nudges, intentional exercises and support mantras, you will gain the confidence toward choosing happiness and begin to crystallize your strengths simultaneously. As you know your thoughts are a leading source of your reality. Perhaps you have tried various methods to manifest your goals but have experienced familiar blocks of resistance. In most cases, you deferred to default mode and a familiar cycle was calling you back, hence leading you to the same or similar spot as before.

As a master with experiencing reinvention of self, more times than I care to explain, I have discovered that it is usually the blocks that are pushing you toward elevating to a higher self and level of consciousness. It’s a practice to reprogram stale thought patterns that no longer serve you, ( STEP 4)yet that is just the beginning. However, when you zone in on new and simple techniques the expansion of your mind is encouraged and bursting with endless possibilities.

To become clear in a time of confusion , chaos or crisis, you must breathe and become zentered. You cannot imagine or manifest when you are operating in fear. Remember, whatever you are experiencing, is temporary. What lies ahead, has already occurred, it’s just waiting to be tapped into by the process of your imagination. You have the power to transform your day, hour, week and year through thoughts, imagination, creation and action. This four step process can propel you in more ways than you realize, it just takes a cup of courage , in knowing that it is your time to SHINE!

Share with us what gets you zentered in the comments below.

Enjoy the journey, keep moving forward with your eyes peeled on your dream.

happy coach  While many assume happiness is a derivative of success, studies have proven that isn’t quite the case; that many professionally successful people and those with notable wealth are actually not happy—often quite the opposite. Even more surprising is that what you might perceive as success could actually be hindering your happiness.

“As a society we’ve gotten it backwards: it is happiness that leads to success not vice versa,” notes “America’s Happyologist” Jackie Ruka, lifestyle expert and Founder of the Get Happy Zone (www.gethappyzone.com) personal development organization. “Scientific studies actually prove that we are the ambassadors of our own happiness in that we have full control over this enviable state of mind, which is a powerful precursor of success in terms of the true meaning of the word and how it impacts the human experience.”

An array of credentialed psychologists and other respected researchers have studied people around the globe to discern how money, culture, attitude, health, memory, altruism and daily habits affect our well-being. The field of “positive psychology” has, in fact, dug deep and formerly recognized that a person’s thoughts and actions can have a significant effect on their happiness and life fulfillment.

With this in mind, Ruka offers this list of 10 scientifically proven happiness strategies:

  1. Savor ordinary events. Study participants who took the time to do this “showed significant increases in happiness and reductions in depression,” psychology professor Sonja Lyubomirsky notes.  Reflecting back on moments of your day, even those you might ordinarily hurry through, is a worthwhile effort.
  2. Avoid comparisons. Focusing on your own personal achievements instead of making comparisons to others will better impact your happiness and self-esteem, according to Lyubomirsky, which leads to greater life satisfaction. It’s easy to lose sight of what achievements—both personal and professional—have enriched our life, and we must remind ourselves…often.
  3. Put money low on the list. According to researchers Kasser and Ryan, those who put money high on their priority list are at greater risk for depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. “Money-seekers also score lower on tests of vitality and self-actualization,” Ryan says.
  4. Have meaningful goals. As humans, we thrive on having a purpose, but what is purpose if there is no meaning behind it? “People who strive for something significant, whether it’s learning a new craft or raising moral children, are far more happier than those who don’t have strong dreams or aspirations,” father and son team Diener and Biswas-Diener found. Positive psychology authority Tal Ben-Shahar agrees, having stated “Happiness lies at the intersection between pleasure and meaning. Whether at work or at home, the goal is to engage in activities that are both personally significant and enjoyable.”
  5. Take initiative at work. Researcher Amy Wrzesniewski says that, “when we express creativity, help others, suggest improvements or do additional tasks on the job, we make our work more rewarding and feel more in control.”
  6. Make friends and treasure family. This may seem like a no-brainer, but we need relationships. Sometimes we underestimate the importance of such connections. And, the more genuine the better as Diener and Biswas-Diener notes, “We don’t just need relationships; we need close ones that involve caring and understanding.”
  7. Fake it until you make it.  This actually works, according to Diener and Biswas-Diener, who assert, “Happy people see possibilities, opportunities, and success. When they think of the future, they are optimistic, and when they review the past, they tend to savor the high points.” This may take some practice, so try to smile even when you don’t feel like it.
  8. Keep a gratitude journal. When you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, you can either become a time bomb waiting to go off or you can recalibrate. An excellent tool for detoxing and redirecting your thoughts is with a gratitude journal. Those who write in a journal on a weekly basis are healthier, more optimistic, and more likely to achieve personal goals, according to author Robert Emmons. Martin Seligman’s research also revealed that people who write “gratitude letters” to someone significant in their lives score lower on depression and higher on happiness and the effect lasts for weeks. Gratitude and the human spirit together make powerful allies.
  9. Get moving. According to a Duke University study, exercise may be as effective as drugs in treating even major depression. Exercise releases endorphins, the feel good hormone. Duke researcher Blumenthal suggested that “exercise may be beneficial because patients are actually taking an active role in trying to get better…patients who exercised may have felt a greater sense of mastery over their condition and gained a greater sense of accomplishment. They felt more self-confident and had better self-esteem…” When you feel good, you tend to continue the behavior related to it and are motivated to adopt others.
  10. Serve others. This is often referred to as a “helper’s high.” According to ethicist and researcher Stephen Post, helping a neighbor, volunteering, and donating goods and services results in more health benefits than exercising or quitting smoking.  Researcher Elizabeth Dunn similarly found that those who spent money on others reported greater happiness than those who spent it on themselves.

Ruka concludes, “With so much science underscoring that we are active participants in the process, I prefer to regard happiness as a verb. Indeed, navigating happiness is a journey filled with a series of actions…it’s not an outcome. No matter the circumstance, we all have the capacity to be happy. The only question is what next step will you take to foster your own?”

Imagine your dream as a bowl of paint, let’s name your paint as your “happy” paint. You are the brush that dips into your happy paint and begin to make happy strokes within your current life canvas. The fun part is you get to choose the colors, the content and the direction in which to manifest your dream canvas. It’s ok if you make a few mistakes along the way, that’s how you know you are on the right path to your dream. The magic behind all of this is based on movement. Movement accelerates into steps, steps into leaps and leaps into accomplishments. Remember the things that happen to you do not define who you are. In short, you may feel like a victim but you can be the victor from the situation, as every episode in life has a meaning, in most cases it determines what you don’t want, so you can crystallize what you do want. What we learn from our past evolves us into our future. So are you moving toward your dream?

On the news today I listened to an inspiring story about a supposed washed up golfer who for nearly twenty years was following his passion to be a professional golfer. He started at age 25 and won the Scottish open at age 30, but on the PGA tour he had not won a tournament of the 334 PGA starts. He was out there everyday, pushing himself to be the pro he knew he could be. In the meantime, he was working side jobs to help support his wife and 2 kids and was unable to buy health insurance for his family.  At age 52, he finally decided it was time to give up his dream  and move on. Upon his dismay, all his buddies got together and supported him for one year to follow his dream, they knew he had it in him.  He was given a second chance to pick up the sport again, except this time around he realized he had to do something different  to make his dream a reality. He practiced new mind exercise everyday, hired a new swing coach, got a sports psychologist and changed his exercise routine. He said, ‘ it’s better to be decisive than right.” His attitude of perseverance and strong belief in self  won him the prestigious senior PGA championship. For twenty years Michael Allen went from “Michael Who?” to living his life calling as a big money maker in his dream of playing golf for the first time in his life.

More and more people I am meeting seem to be sharing the birth of their inner passion and taking leaps of faith, everyday. Just yesterday I met with two gorgeous ladies, both have made huge leaps of faith and are happier and more excited about life doing what they love. There is no reason why you can’t do the same? Yes, we all have to make a living, no doubt, and you will as the process is not as difficult as you think. Let’s take a look at how you can make your dream a reality and be the architect of your destiny.

1. Don’t quit your day job yet, work at it but start your passion on the side or weekends, it may take a bit longer but it will be worth it!

2. When you begin your passion, your mind and actions will expand, pretty soon you will be doing your passion!

3. Birth your idea, in some way or form, this could be a book, a workshop, a blog , partnering with an entity , all of these facets are areas that will begin the launch of your dream.

4. Everything you have learned up to this point has prepared you, even if you think your not ready, just start. There is a learning curve in anything new, but once your learning your growing and this is part of living the dream.

5. The fear that is in your way is just a mirror of our own self- doubt. Fear is like worry, a waste of time. Stop entertaining your  power on fear and start using your  power by taking a cup of courage and having a little fun dabbling in your dream and painting with your happy paint.

The sooner you start taking leaps of faith, the better you will feel. When you feel good, good things happen! When you think positively, positive things occur. Sometimes, you just have to let it all go, get messy and have some fun with your passion. So, get busy living, life is too short not to and seek a little help from your friends!

Tell us how you started your passion and how it’s going, we want to spread the happiness stroke on the world canvas? Don’t be shy.

If you need help becoming fearless, entertain those inner gems with the Become Fearless Quiz, it’s fun and will help you overcome your personality obstacles.
